Emergency Appeal of Election Lawsuit in GA 1

Attorney Lin Wood is adding to the Trump campaign’s legal efforts against alleged election fraud. He’s been taking on cases in Georgia.

This comes after Wood filed a lawsuit to temporarily stop votes from being certified. His motion asked to exclude alleged defective absentee ballots from being certified, and that votes be recounted by hand with signature verification of ballot envelopes.

But court Judge Steven Grimberg rejected his request, saying that Wood has no legal grounds as an individual voter to challenge Georgia’s election procedures.

Wood then filed an appeal to the higher Court on Nov. 25 seeking an emergency review of Grimberg’s decision.

With the appeal granted, the defendants of Wood’s complaint, Georgia State Secretary Brad Raffensperger, and other state officials—must now respond to the court by 5 p.m. Dec. 1.
