Despite the best efforts of Democrats, social justice gadflies, and academic elitists to mainstream the concocted term “Latinx,” a new poll showed that a significant majority of Hispanic-American citizens were frustrated by the gender-neutral lingo.
Over the last few years there has also been a steadily increasing number of Hispanic-Americans exiting the democratic party and voting Republican instead, a corollary noted by The Daily Wire.
The national poll—taken between Nov. 17 and Nov. 21—found that the effort to implement “Latinx” is turning off Hispanics, according to Politico.
“Only 2 percent of those polled refer to themselves as Latinx, while 68 percent call themselves “Hispanic” and 21 percent favored “Latino” or “Latina” to describe their ethnic background,” according to the survey from Bendixen & Amandi International, a top Democratic firm specializing in Latino outreach.

“More problematic for Democrats: 40 percent said Latinx bothers or offends them to some degree and 30 percent said they would be less likely to support a politician or organization that uses the term.”
The results of this poll are eerily similar to the results of a 2019 survey which found that 98% of Hispanics preferred an identifier other than “Latinx.”
Pollsters, marketing agents and other professionals have recommended that this term be avoided.
Pollster Fernand Amandi—whose firm ran the newest poll—told Politico, “The numbers suggest that using Latinx is a violation of the political Hippocratic Oath, which is to first do no electoral harm.”

Politico noted that Hispanic Republicans also believe the term is driving voters toward the GOP.
“By insisting on using the incorrect term Latinx, progressives are engaging in a type of cultural Marxism, a recast of societal norms,” Virginia Republican attorney general-elect Jason Miyares said.
“Latinos don’t use the term—only upper-educated white liberals who hardly interact with the Latino community,” Miyares said. “I believe that every time they use the term Latinx, they lose another Latino vote.”
