ST PAUL, MN – A 38-year-old man from Scottsdale, Arizona, has been charged in connection with four murders that occurred in St. Paul, Minnesota, earlier in September. Authorities say that the bodies of all four victims were found in an abandoned SUV in a Wisconsin cornfield.

Very little has been revealed by authorities about what exactly led to the murders of 30-year-old Nitosha Flug-Presley, 35-year-old Loyace Foreman III, 26-year-old Matthew Pettus, and 30-year-old Jasmine Sturm – but a man from Arizona, identified as 38-year-old Antoine Suggs has been arrested in connection with the killings.

According to the criminal complaint against Suggs, witnesses alleged that victim Flug-Presley and a man they believed to be Suggs were seen together at the White Squirrel bar in St. Paul on the evening of September 11th transitioning to the morning of September 12th.

Roughly a block away from the White Squirrel bar is Shamrocks Grill and Pub, where victims Foreman, Pettus, and Sturm were.

They headed to the White Squirrel bar to meet up with Flug-Presley at approximately 1:00 a.m. on September 12th.

One witness later said they’d seen three of the known victims, Flug-Presley, Sturm and Pettus, getting into the back of an SUV at approximately 2:00 a.m. within an unknown man. Authorities say that no one had any contact with the victims at that point onward.

Officials believe that Suggs may have killed the four victims on West Seventh Street in St. Paul between 3:30 a.m. and 3:48 a.m.

Cellphone records note that Suggs called his father, Darren Osborne, approximately one hour after the alleged murders. Three hours after the call to his father, a security video near St. Paul showed a Mercedes-Benz SUV being closely followed by a Nissan Rogue, which was subsequently identified as Suggs’ mother’s car.

The Mercedes-Benz and Nissan were later spotted at a gas station in St. Paul more than two hours later after the aforementioned surveillance footage.

Surveillance video reportedly shows Flug-Presley “slumped over” in the front passenger seat of the SUV, which is how she was discovered in the SUV near Sheridan Township, Wisconsin, according to police.

Because Suggs was not wearing a mask, police were able to identify him on security footage from the gas station.

The same two vehicles were also reportedly spotted driving up together at a gas station 10 miles from where the bodies were discovered in Wisconsin, police say.

In obtained security footage, Osborne is reportedly seen walking inside a shop to purchase some items. Later, near where the Mercedes-Benz was parked, investigators discovered apparent blood traces on the ground.

When police later located the vehicle and bodies of the four victims, they noted that there were six shell casings inside of the vehicle and also Sugg’s Arizona ID that was covered in blood.

When police first caught up with Osbourne, who was the first to be arrested in connection with the case, he told investigators that his son abruptly showed up 5:00 a.m. on September 12th with his mother in tow and urged his parents to “get along with each other” and asked his parents to please watch after his children.

Suggs’ mother then left, leaving the murder suspect and his father Osborne to themselves. Osborne told police that his son asked him to follow him in his mother’s car – later revealing to Osbourne that he “had snapped and shot a couple people.”

Osborne reportedly admitted to police that he went with his son to drop off the SUV containing the victims’ bodies in Wisconsin, noting that he did not know the victims personally.

Osborne has since been charged with four counts of hiding a corpse with intent to conceal a crime and is being held in the Ramsey County Jail.

Suggs reportedly turned himself into authorities in Arizona on September 17th and has since been charged with four counts of second-degree murder. He’s currently awaiting extradition back to Minnesota.

If convicted, Suggs could face up to 160 years in prison.

Minnesota bail fund bails out another criminal who is now accused of murdering someone days after being released

(Originally published September 8th, 2021)

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – The infamous bail fund known as the Minnesota Freedom Fund is making headlines again after they issued a response to their fund bailing out a man who was later arrested for murder days following his jail release.

We at Law Enforcement Today have previously covered the Minnesota Freedom Fund, the same bail fund that was promoted by Kamala Harris back in June of 2020 when she was urging her supporters to donate to said fund in order to bail out accused rioters from that summer.

The Minnesota Freedom Fund has attracted controversy over the past year following Vice President Harris’ promoting of it in 2020, as reports began cropping up of dangerous suspects being released via bail being paid by the Minnesota Freedom Fund and then those same suspects being later arrested under new charges.

Without fail, the same occurrence happened again – but this time, the suspect released by the bail fund was arrested for a murder charge.

George Howard was bailed out by the Minnesota Freedom Fund on August 6th, according to court records, after he was arrested under charges of domestic violence. Howard found himself arrested again in early September after authorities say he fatally shot someone along I-94 near Dowling Avenue in Minneapolis on August 29th.

The Minnesota Freedom Fund responded to the controversy following Howard’s arrest, saying that they’ve “implemented changes” without going into great detail as to what those changes are that will stop them from bailing out accused violent offenders:

“We are aware of reports of the tragic and fatal shooting in Minneapolis earlier this week allegedly involving George Howard, an individual the Minnesota Freedom Fund had previously provided with bail support.”

“The killing of Luis Martinez Ortiz is an undeniable loss and tragedy for the entire community. We have heard from you and we have revised this statement because our previous statement did not acknowledge this deep loss and for that we apologize.”

“Under new leadership, MFF has implemented changes to its policies and procedures, and we will continue to assess them to ensure that we are being responsive to the safety and needs of our community.”

“MFF is closely monitoring developments in the case and will share more information as additional facts become known.”

Bailing out accused criminals in Minnesota has been a relatively easy feat for the organization, as after Vice President Harris promoted their bail fund through Twitter last year, the fund wound up raking in $35 million.

As mentioned earlier, we at Law Enforcement Today have reported on this bail fund previously regarding inmates they’ve funded the releases of – who then go on to allegedly commit more crimes.

Here’s that previous report from September of 2020.

_

MINNEAPOLIS, MN– On June 1st, 2020, Democratic Vice-Presidential candidate Kamala Harris openly promoted a bail fund on her Twitter, that was designed to help free protesters being arrested at the violent riots in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Now, that very fund, known as The Minnesota Freedom Fund, has helped release a man from jail who is accused of sexually molesting a child, Daily Caller News Foundation reports.

The Daily Caller reported the following on the matter:

“A bail fund promoted by Sen. Kamala Harris helped a man accused of sexually assaulting an eight-year-old girl get out of jail in July, according to court documents obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

The full report can be read here.

Timothy Wayne Columbus, 36, allegedly sexually assaulted an eight-year-old girl in 2015, and faces up to 30 years in prison. He was released from a Minneapolis jail in early July on $75,000 bail, according to jail records.
That bail was paid by none other than MFF.
Court document obtained by the DCNF, shows that the day after his release, Columbus signed a document asking the court to return any refunded bail to the MFF, which indicates that the fund played a role in securing his release from jail.
  •  Paid $350,000 in cash to release twice-convicted rapist Christopher Boswell from jail. Boswell currently faces charges of kidnapping and sexual assault, according to the outlet.
  • The Minnesota Freedom Fund also helped post bail for a man accused of assaulting an elderly woman as he burglarized her home, court records obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation reveal.
  • The fund also helped bail out a man who allegedly robbed and stomped on a victim’s head in Minneapolis on the same day of George Floyd’s police-custody death, records show.

At least 13 staffers working for Joe Biden’s presidential campaign also donated to the MFF in the first week following Floyd’s death, according to Reuters.

It comes as no surprise that the fund has been very outspoken on its support to defund the police.
