BREAKING: Republicans Meet at State Capitol in Wisconsin –
Vote for GOP Slate of Electors 1

Responsible Wisconsin Republicans met on Monday to put
forth their slate of electors for the 2020 election.

Wisconsin Republicans followed the rule of law and met to put
forward their own electors on Monday.
Republican GOP Chairman Andrew Hitt told reporters it was “to
preserve our role in the electoral process while the final outcome
is still pending in the courts.”

Here is their statement.

As of right now, to my
knowledge, GOP Electors have submitted ballots for President Trump
in the following States:
• Nevada (6)
• Pennsylvania (20)
• Georgia (16)
42 Electoral Votes total.
Contested.
Congress decides.
Could be 274–266 Trump victory.

An hour after the Wisconsin Supreme Court affirmed Joe Biden the
winner of the Nov. 3 presidential election in the state,
Republicans refused to accept the result and met at the state
Capitol to put forward their own slate of electors.

While 10 Democratic electors met inside Gov. Tony Evers’
office to finalize the state’s 10 electoral votes for
President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris,
Republicans convened to cast votes for President Donald Trump.

“We made it,” Evers, a Democrat, said after the 10 votes
were officially cast by Democratic electors to be sent to Congress.
“Today we did our part to continue the long and sacred tradition
of our democracy of honoring the will of the people.”

Elsewhere in the Capitol, Republicans including party chairman
Andrew Hitt and Wisconsin Elections Commissioner Bob Spindell met
even though their electors are not supposed to be counted.

Hitt, in a statement, said the electors met “to preserve our
role in the electoral process while the final outcome is still
pending in the courts.”
