Democrats celebrated their Senate wins in Georgia — giving them a tie with Republicans that can be broken with a vote from Democrat Vice President Kamala Harris — by unveiling a new list of legislative priorities.
Both of the Democratic candidates, Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff, defeated their Republican opponents, Sens. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue, which gives Democrats control of the the legislative and executive branches.
Democrats made it clear on Wednesday what they plan to do with this power.
Leftists said their priority will be to increase the stimulus checks recently passed by Congress to $2,000, passing the Equality Act, introducing some sort of Green New Deal, and so on.
Flipping the Senate would be huge to get votes on popular bills blocked by Mitch McConnell:
🔹$2k checks
🔹 Equality Act
🔹 Dream Act
🔹 Infrastructure
🔹 Voting Rights Act
🔹 State and local funding
🔹 Climate action… the list goes on, and on, and on. America needs this.

Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., added to that list and said Democrats should increase the minimum wage, promote “reproductive justice,” likely a reference to wider abortion access, and fight for “racial justice.”
VICTORY in Georgia must lead to transformative change across America!
Recurring survival checks, union jobs that pay a living wage, guaranteed health care, racial justice, voting rights, immigration reform, climate action, repro justice, education, and MUCH more.
It can’t wait!

Brian Fallon, who served as a senior member of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign, also pushed for more radical policies, such as ending the Senate filibuster and “reforming” the courts, a likely reference to Democrats’ plan to add seats to the Supreme Court.
Make DC a state. Restore the Voting Rights Act. Eliminate the filibuster. Reform the courts. Revive democracy.
