On Monday, Georgia State Sen. Burt Jones began circulating a petition that would allow the Georgia legislature to meet for an emergency legislative session that would allow them to fully investigate the credible accusations of widespread voter fraud presented by the Trump campaign and legal team, even as Gov. Brian Kemp has ignored demands to call a special legislature.
In a call to action posted to Twitter, Jones wrote “Today is the day we need you to call your state Senate & House Reps & ask them to sign the petition for a special session.” He added, “We must have free & fair elections.”
“This is our only path to ensuring every legal vote is counted,” added Jones, before tagging President Donald Trump’s Twitter account.

The petition, originally unveiled on Saturday by Sens. Greg Dolezal, Brandon Beach, and Jones, all Republican, began receiving media coverage and positive attention on Twitter on Monday.
The petition serves as notification to Governor Brian Kemp and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger that an emergency exists such that a session of the General Assembly is being called for and convened on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at 10:00 A.M. in order to attend to such emergency and for all purposes provided for pursuant to Article II, Section 1 of the Constitution of the United States.
This Petition comes after the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee was inundated with affidavits, signed under penalty of perjury, from citizens all over the state who testified to blatant election fraud and many violations of the law that have taken place during the 2020 General Election as well as during the follow-up recounts.
In a statement, Jones added that he and his fellow senators “believe we have reached the point that the results of this election are untrustworthy.” Jones added, “Such pervasive disregard for election laws by our election officials requires a decisive response. It is time for our legislative body to do its job.”
Giuliani praised Jones’ petition on Twitter. “This is showing real leadership to achieve an honest result in a state where the election was stolen right in front of our eyes,” wrote Giuliani, referencing the now-viral video of Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss processing ballots while unsupervised. “Captured for history by the security cameras.”

Freeman recently canceled a media interview and announced that she needed to secure legal representation as the ongoing Georgia fraud saga has now involved her daughter, Moss, who is on record as a supervisor and was identified by Freeman as her direct supervisor.
At one point, Freeman appears to process the same batch of ballots multiple times in actions that echo the sworn affidavit of Dominion Voting Services contractor Melissa Carone.
Despite this damning evidence, Kemp has thus far refused all calls for a special session of the legislature. Regarding the unsupervised suitcase vote counting, Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, another Republican, has apparently instructed his office to begin circulating a wholly debunked fake news article from the notoriously bad fact checker Lead Stories.
