Leading up to the 2020 presidential election, far-left legal activists sued states—especially Midwest and Southern swing states—to get them to change their election laws, drop safeguards, and adopt unsafe practices like universal mail-in voting and no-ID voting.
J. Christian Adams, a former civil rights attorney at the Justice Department, said that he observed a “linear build-out” of “some 30 groups” that fought under the guise of COVID-19 to change election laws, Conservative Playbook reported.
That effort resulted in 29 states—not all with progressive governors, attorneys general and secretaries of state—loosening or eliminating their election integrity measures.
Seeing the success of changing laws rather than winning hearts and minds, the Harvard Law School has now launched its own “lawfare” program.

The schoo’s Election Law Clinic, which has connections to the Democratic Party and other progressive organizations, will train students in winning elections through the courts, ensuring that privileged elites are able to maintain an outsized stranglehold on influencing the country’s leadership choices.
“This is just the next phase: ‘Let’s set up an elite training academy,’” Adams said about the programs. “This is their Naval Academy of election litigators.”
The clinic, established in April 2020, will train law students in fighting battles over “voter suppression cases” as well as “redistricting, voting rights, campaign finance, and party regulation,” according to Harvard Law Today.
Students will receive course credit for working on campaigns and for participating in political activism.

Left-wing activists and politicians use the term “voter suppression” to malign all election protections, like mandatory voter ID, restricted mail-in voting, limited in-person voting and time restraints for voter registration.
The clinic’s director, Ruth Greenwood, said she believes that “elections should be decided by the voters, not their lawyers,” yet she wants to train an army of “graduates ready to hit the ground running as election lawyers from day one.”
Greenwood formerly worked for the Democratic National Committee’s Voting Rights Institute and Campaign Legal Center, which is funded by ActBlue; the Southern Poverty Law Center; the Ford Foundation; and George Soros’s Open Society Foundations, according to Conservative Playbook.
