Last weekend Michigan state Rep. Haley Stevens got married in a maskless ceremony performed by Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel, Breitbart reported.
Making matters worse, Stevens held her wedding reception in a crowded, mask-free gathering at an indoor venue—all elements for a so-called “super-spreader” event. Nessel even tweeted a picture of the lavish reception, in which none of the attendees were masked.

The event was an open violation of guidelines imposed by the state health department and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, although Democrats in Michigan have demanded that others follow them with religious fervor.

According to CDC recommendations, vaccinated individuals must “maximize protection from the Delta variant and prevent possibly spreading it to others,” by wearing a mask “indoors in public if you are in an area of substantial or high transmission.”
Yet, the Michigan power-women—who have spent nearly two years promoting lockdowns and enforcing mask mandates—now believe that they are beyond their own regulations.
Stevens infamously delivered a raging, tantrum-filled speech on the Michigan House floor in March, demanding that Americans listen to coronavirus czar Anthony Fauci, mask up, and get vaccinated, despite being repeatedly told that her time was up and that she was “out of order.”
Stevens wore pink latex gloves during her speech as an act of solidarity with Fauci and other coronavirus-obsessed doctors.

Nonetheless, she and Nessel both believed that they did not need to follow their own demands at Stevens’s wedding.
Other Democrats in Michigan have ignored their own guidelines since the lockdowns began.
For example, after demanding that Michiganders stay home during “spring break” last year, Democrat Gov. Gretchen Whitmer took a trip to Florida herself.
The previous summer, the embattled governor’s husband also leveraged his status as husband-to-the-governor to receive special favors during what was allegedly the height of the pandemic.
