Michigan is conducting a two-week risk-limiting audit using over 18,000 randomly drawn ballots from across the state. 

On January 12th, Michigan’s Department of State live-streamed the rolling of 20, 10-sided dice used to generate numbers that correspond to ballots from all of Michigan’s counties.

Republican and Democratic Clerks will now review the nearly 20,000 ballots selected from the system explained above, including a hand-review of paper ballots to determine “whether they match the machine-tabulated results.”
