GOP operatives said they’re confident a Republican will win the special Congressional election in Ohio. Speaking with Breitbart news on Saturday, the National Republican Congressional Committee said results of this week’s primary races show Americans are rejecting the Democrat agenda.

The NRCC added it hopes the momentum will carry over into the 2022 midterm elections. Operatives pointed to voter turnout for Republicans, citing data touting GOP primary winner Mike Carey. Carey was endorsed by President Trump and received more votes than all votes cast for Democrats.

In the meantime, Carey is expected to face-off against Democrat Allison Russo, when Ohioans in the state’s 15th District cast their votes in November.
