RIDICULOUS: Virginia Little League Coaches Forced to Attend
Expensive ‘Antiracist’ Training 1

Little League baseball coaches in Alexandria, Virginia, are being forced to take an expensive “anti-racist” diversity, equity, and inclusion course this month.

Coaches were asked to cancel any scheduled practices with the kids to attend the stupid online Sports Can Battle Racism seminar later this month.

The seminar is being held by the Positive Coaching Alliance, which charges $1,000 to $10,000 for sessions. They have a year long contract with the Alexandria Little League and would not provide information to the Free Beacon on what they are being paid for this specific partnership,

The Free Beacon reports, “a Sports Can Battle Racism workshop document for coaches includes six core themes, from ‘Create a Caring Climate’ to ‘Model Anti-Racist Behavior.’ Coaches are encouraged to teach themselves to perceive their own ‘internalized racism’ and look for ‘potential institutional racism’ in the community. Coaches are also asked to ‘be on the lookout’ for moments that they can use as ‘anti-racism learning opportunities.’”

The organization also offers materials for student athletes that instructs them to assess their “privilege.” There is also an “identity wheel” that both athletes and coaches can use to “increase awareness of how privilege operates to normalize some identities over others.”

Alexandria parent Barry Bennett is not happy about the politicization of children’s sports.

“This is Little League, everyone plays in every game,” he told the Free Beacon. “This is a bunch of busybodies virtue signaling. Leave ten-year-olds alone.”
