LONG BEACH, CA– On Wednesday, January 20th, The Orange County District Attorney’s Office announced that a California woman who rammed her car into a crowd of Trump supporters in September is now facing criminal charges in connection with another heinous crime.

According to prosecutors, 40 year-old Long Beach resident, Tatiana Rita Turner, is also now being accused of beating two men with a rod at another protest just one month prior to running Trump supporters over. Turner will be charged with a total of 13 felonies in connection with the two incidents.

Turner made headlines nearly four months ago when counter-protesters crashed a “March 4 Equality” demonstration against alleged police brutality that she had helped organize. She was arrested on September 26, 2020, after speeding away from a group of people that had surrounded her car, Tathasta reported.

Now on Wednesday, The Orange County D.A.’s office said Turner would be charged with additional crimes for her alleged beating of the two men at a protest on August 29, 2020 in Seal Beach.

Law enforcement stated that Turner:

“is accused of using an approximately four-foot rod to repeatedly beat two men as they lay on the ground after being beaten by a group of protesters.”

Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer said Wednesday afternoon:

“The Seal Beach attack left one of the victims with injuries to his head so severe they required staples,”

Five other individuals “who attended dueling protests in Yorba Linda” on September 26th will also be facing charges, Spitzer’s office announced following a thorough and lengthy investigation of video surveillance.

In September, The Associated Press reported:

“several dozen people in Turner’s group had been preparing to march…when a group of people, many hoisting American flags and Trump 2020 banners, grew on the other side of Imperial Highway.”

They also reported that at the event, authorities had requested the two groups stay apart:

“but a group of men crossed the six-lane highway and confronted the racial justice group in a series of angry exchanges,”

They continued:

“As the confrontation grew and became heated, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department declared an unlawful assembly and told the groups, estimated at 250 people total, to leave after fights were reported and some people were said to be carrying weapons.”

Despite the fact that Turner’s attorney claims she was in fear for her life, D.A. Spitzer maintained Turner:

“positioned her vehicle to be used as a backup weapon, and she used that vehicle as a deadly weapon, willing to injure and kill those who stood in her way.”

The L.A. Times reported that according to law enforcement, one man suffered two broken legs, and a woman sustained major and moderate injuries.

Turner was ordered held on $1-million bail, and her lawyer entered a plea of not guilty on her behalf, according to the Times.

According to prosecutors, Turner has been charged with one felony count of attempted murder with premeditation and deliberation, six felony counts of assault with a deadly weapon, one felony count of mayhem, and two felony counts of the use of pepper spray by a felon in connection with the Yorba Linda demonstration. She faces an additional felony count of using a stun gun on a counter-protester at that event. For the Seal Beach incident, prosecutors say she will be charged with two felony counts of assault with a deadly weapon, Tathasta reported..

Spitzer said the additional charges would be filed at Turner’s next court date on February 18th.

According to Spitzer’s office, Turner:

“faces a maximum sentence of seven years to life plus 26 years in state prison if convicted on all charges. She has previous felony convictions for drug sales and domestic violence.”

Two teens arrested after allegedly assaulting Trump supporters in California

October 23, 2020

PALM SPRINGS, CA – According to reports, two teenage suspects have been arrested under suspicion of assaults they allegedly committed against demonstrators advocating for the recall of California Governor Gavin Newsom.

The event on Oct. 18 reportedly saw about 50 supporters of President Donald Trump, alongside Unite 911 demonstrators in Palm Springs, when two juvenile suspects were said to have begun antagonizing some of the people gathered.

According to Lt. William Hutchinson of the Palm Springs Police Department, the suspects involved were 13 and 15 years old. Toni Ringlein, the rally organizer, said that a vehicle drove past the demonstrators on the sidewalk and the occupants began yelling profanities at them.

From what Ringlein said, they typically don’t “engage” with those seeking to disrupt their demonstrations:

“Our practice is not to engage with any opposition or anybody that’s trying to cause trouble.”

However, it seems that the vehicle occupants were intent on being more than just heard, as the vehicle pulled into a parking lot not far from the rally. The two juvenile suspects started attacking rally-goers, according to police:

“During the altercation, a member of the rally witnessed the altercation, and then witnessed a 15-year-old and 13-year-old juvenile assault another member of the rally. The witness who caught up to the juveniles told the juveniles the police were on their way, and at that point, one of the juveniles swung at the witness’s head to hit him.”

That witness who one of the kids allegedly took a swing at began pursuing the juvenile and caught up with the teen at a local home improvement store. A scuffle ensued, and the teen allegedly used an airsoft pistol to strike the witness on the back of the head multiple times.

Luckily, the victim only suffered minor injuries and was able to knock the airsoft gun out of the teen’s hand and hold him until police arrived.

While the airsoft gun was obviously not a real firearm, the 15-year-old boy was said to have been in possession of a 30-round magazine for a 9-millimeter Glock, according to police.

Now, the 15-year-old suspect didn’t have the bona fide gun for that magazine, he’s still expected to be charged with possession of a high-capacity magazine. Laws in California cap most magazines at holding only 10 rounds.

Police were said to have released the 15-year-old suspect to a parent while the case is being investigated.

As for the younger of the two juveniles, he’s looking at serious charges due to his alleged actions involving the airsoft gun and various assaults. The 13-year-old was charged with one count of assault with a deadly weapon and two counts of battery with serious bodily injury.

The 13-year-old was not released to a parent – but has been booked into a juvenile detention facility.

Amazingly, even after this incident, Ringlein isn’t deterred from hosting future events. Apparently two more rallies are slated to kick off prior to the election Nov. 3.
