A California State Senator continued the trend of people virtue signaling on social media by tweeting a photo of himself wearing two face masks, prompting a vehement response.

The wearing of two, three or even more face coverings as a performative act of broadcasting your virtue has become more popular in recent weeks, despite Dr. Fauci reversing his previous advice and acknowledging that “there’s no data that indicates (double masking) is going to make a difference.”
As we highlighted last week, Dr. Scott Segal told NBC News that Americans should consider wearing FOUR face masks if they want the most effective protection against spreading COVID-19.
Segal one-upped researchers at Virginia Tech, who said that two face masks only provide 50-75% efficacy and that three masks should be worn to achieve 90% effectiveness.
However, Segal’s advice is contradicted by CBS4 Medical Editor Dr. Dave Hnida, who said, “Three masks may be going too far, since that could interfere with the ability to breathe.”
State Senator Wiener was ‘ratioed’ on Twitter, with most respondents ridiculing his post.

Texas students were also told to wear masks during masturbation, while the BBC advised people to wear them during sex.
Meanwhile, in China, thousands of people are being subjected to anal swabs because experts assert they are more accurate at detecting the virus.
