California teacher brags about how she removed American
flag, has students pledge allegiance to pride flag 1

The following contains editorial commentary which is the opinion of the author, a retired Chief of Police and current staff writer for Law Enforcement Today.

NEWPORT MESA, CA- Last week in Kabul, Afghanistan, thirteen brave American heroes lost their lives, with eighteen others being injured in a terrorist bombing and subsequent firefight outside the gates of the Kabul airport.

Upon landing at Dover Air Force base in Dover, Delaware, the caskets carrying those thirteen heroes were draped with the American flag, the flag under which they lost their lives as Marines, soldiers, and as a Navy corpsman.

The same week, an ignorant moron who somehow has a job teaching children posted a video on Tik Tok in which she said she encouraged students in her classroom to pledge allegiance to a gay pride flag she put up in her classroom after she removed the American flag, Fox News reported.

The “teacher,” who should have been fired the day after this disgusting video was posted, said in the video:

“Okay, so during third period we have announcements, and they do the pledge of allegiance,” said the teacher, Kristin Pitzen of the Newport Mesa School District in Orange County, California. “I always tell my class, stand if you feel like it, don’t stand if you feel like it, say the words if you want, you don’t have to say the words.”

“So my class decided to stand, but not say the words. Totally fine,” she said.

“Except for the fact that my room does not have a flag,” then explaining she removed the flag during the pandemic, then whispered like a four-year-old child, “because it made me uncomfortable.”

When one of her students asked where they should look during the pledge of allegiance, she pointed to a flag that was in the class.

“In the meantime, I tell this kid, ‘We do have a flag in the class that you can pledge your allegiance to. And he like, looks around and goes, “Oh, that one?”’ and points to the pride flag.”

Pride flag? Are you freaking kidding? Of course clearly, there are a bunch of radical lunatics who probably feel like this nutjob does and think the pride flag should be the national flag. .

However the contrast between what this teacher said, and those flag-draped caskets being offloaded from that military aircraft in Dover is stark…and this shows the abject lunacy of the radical left.

Clearly, if this wackjob teacher wants to pay homage to a rainbow flag that is certainly her right, guaranteed under the Constitution, which by the way, those soldiers and all who’ve paid the ultimate sacrifice before them sought to defend.

However telling her students that they should “pledge allegiance” to the rainbow flag is sick, twisted, evil and deranged.

Fox News said they reached out to the school district, who confirmed the incident is under investigation but wouldn’t provide additional details. Because it doesn’t “discuss employee related matters.”

“We are aware of this incident and are investigating. While we do not discuss employee related matters, we can tell you that showing respect and honor for our nation’s flag is a value that we instill in our students and an expectation of our employees. We take matters like this seriously and will be taking action to address it,” said the district’s public relations officer, Annette Franco to Fox.

As expected, Pitzen’s post got a lot of attention on social media, most of it negative. Former acting director of national intelligence, Richard Grenell eviscerated her:

“What kind of parent would allow their child to be taught by this wacko? Why are parents turning their kids over to someone they don’t know? I’d like to talk to people who think this is good?!?!” he said on Twitter.

Conservative actress Patricia Heaton wrote:

“I’ve been reading about our fallen heroes all day, and then see this…it made me weep.”

Jim Hanson:

“No one with a functioning intellect

“Should actually want this

“Disrespectful

“Childish

“Ass

“Teaching children anything.”

Others responded on TikTok from parents who were apoplectic that she was disrespecting the flag. One wrote:

“How can the words ‘for liberty and justice for all’ bring such hate in people? How can anyone have [an] issue with those words?”

Others of course praised the leftist loon, according to the Daily Mail.

Someone going ty the Twitter handle @torrHL said:

“This lady is great, I wish she were my son’s teacher.”

Another with Twitter handle @csofie2:

“I do not see this as a real problem…find a way to help the large number of people in this cruel country who are suffering…”

Might we suggest “Sofie” go to Afghanistan and see what real cruelty looks like, especially for women.

Response from “anenglishmajor” on TikTok:

“tbh if you eventually did find the US flag, I would still face the pride one instead.”

Further proof that liberalism is a mental disorder.

Pitzen claimed she “packed it away” in reference to the flag, and added that she didn’t know where, then put her hand over her mouth after saying “And I haven’t found it yet,” pretending to stifle a laugh. Talk about the epitome of maturity right there.

In a previous TikTok, she posted a video celebrating “pride month” on June 1 and showed how she was celebrating by hanging a variety of rainbow flags in her classroom.

“I pledge allegiance to the queers,” she said while wearing rainbow glasses, earrings and suspenders.

Might we suggest a healthy dose of psychological therapy for this unhinged nutcase?

Law Enforcement Today has of course previously reported on indoctrination in our public schools. In case you missed one of our reports from last year, we invite you to:

DIG DEEPER

CLARENDON, VT – According to a press release from the Mill River Union School District, the school board has seemingly decided to fly the Black Lives Matter and gay Pride flags at the schools within the district.

So, what’s the reason for doing this, one might ask?

Because a solitary high school student asked for it.

This is being done despite the Mill River School Board not seeking the insight from the community’s parents whose children would be going to these very schools.

On June 17th, Mill River Union High School student Reese Eldert-Moore requested the BLM flag to be hoisted at her school. While her request had nothing to do with the Pride flag, the school board just decided to throw that one in there for the heck of it.

Luckily, there’s at least one outspoken person who happens to be running for the Republican nomination in the Rutland-2 House race that voiced his displeasure with displaying radical Marxist symbols and bringing sexualization into schools.

During a June 25th Community Engagement Committee meeting, Art Peterson stated that the decision to showcase these flags on school grounds conveyed a severe lack of leadership:

“I’m disappointed that one person can come in, make a request of this nature and the board automatically decides to do it. Those flags both have a political meaning and those things have meaning to people. When you introduce politics into the schools, these symbols, where does it stop?”

He pointed out that in recent months, as well as the several years’ worth of other incidents, BLM has been engaged in politically charged violence under the guise of protests:

“Again, when groups that have a flag are involved in violence and hate and are so extreme, and you can look on the internet, it’s not private, you can look on the internet and see the things Black Lives Matter has dealt with and is proud of.”

Peterson was not pulling any punches during the meeting, calling out how the Pride flag brings a level of perversity to school campuses:

“As for the Pride flag, it’s just perverse, I’m sorry, I’m an old timer and maybe that’s language you don’t want to hear, but it’s perverse and it has no business around kids.”

During this meeting, there were reportedly 14 people that spoke on the record. Out of that 14, only four people were in support of the flags being hoisted up.

When Peterson was recently interviewed about his statements made during the meeting in June, he explained that if schools want to address issues like discrimination or the ilk, that a simple classroom discussion is better poised for that sort of effort:

“If you want to educate kids, bring them into a setting talking about them respecting everyone, respecting and being courteous to everyone regardless of color, regardless of gender, regardless of lifestyle.”

Peterson further noted that once the topic is addressed, then it’s time to get back to teaching school-related subjects:

“That’s the conversation we should be having and let us get on with education. That flagpole should have the U.S. flag and the Vermont state flag on it, period.”

When detailing his opposition against Pride flags in schools, Peterson put it plainly that it’s meaning has the propensity to sexualize children:

“My opposition, number one, is I think it sexualizes our kids’ education. I don’t think it has any place there. If you read a little bit about the gay Pride flag and what the colors mean, it jumps right out at you. I’m not going to go into it here, but it’s a symbol, it’s a beacon, and that’s my opposition as one person.”

The Pride flag, which was originally produced in 1976, hosted 8 colors which represented healing, life, nature, serenity, sunlight, spirit, magic and sexuality.

(Five dollars says the district wouldn’t put up a Thin Blue Line flag though – likely even if 100 students asked for it.)

Then Peterson went on about the origins of the BLM flag and their Marxist roots as an organization:

“You read who the founders are and what their political beliefs are and they are contrary to every political belief this country is founded on and things we shouldn’t be teaching our kids.”

The high school student, Eldert-Moore, behind getting the BLM flag at the schools claims that because she’s “bi-racial” and lives in a majority-white state, she claims that the flag will make her feel like her life “matters”:

“There are a lot of times being a bi-racial teenager in a white state that I really don’t feel like my life matters as a Black person.”

A petition has been made, having received over 500 signatures thus far, demanding that something of this nature be put to a vote. Eldert-Moore claims that bringing something like this up to a vote would somehow be an attack on her perceived value as a human being:

“It’s not up to you to decide whether I matter enough. It’s a statement. People are saying it’s political when it really should not be. It’s just common courtesy. It’s saying, hey, I exist, treat me like a human.”

While Eldert-Moore says she’s experienced some racist encounters in her life and witnessed racist people, the mere presence of a flag isn’t going to make people who are genuinely racist all the sudden be cured of that ideology.

Because if that were the case, then the anti-police crowd would magically be cured of their hostile sentiments against police the moment they saw a Thin Blue Line flag hoisted.

Obviously, that is not the case.
