J6 Protestors Won State and Local Elections as Part of GOP
Wave 1

Several Republicans who peacefully protested at the Capitol on Jan. 6 won election last week to state and local offices, The Huffington Post reported.

BuzzFeed News identified 13 Republicans who were running for election, and at least 10 of these candidates were victorious.

At least 57 state and local Republican office-holders attended the J6 protest, but most of these officials will not stand for reelection until 2022.

Dave LaRock, R-Hamilton, and John McGuire, R-Goochland County, both won reelection to the Virginia House of Delegates. LaRock was reelected in Loudoun County, The Grio reported.

Both delegates condemned the violence that was a part of the J6 protests, arguing that professional rioters with Antifa or Black Lives Matter organized the trespassing into the Capitol.

Marie March, a Republican, won first-time election to the Virginia House of Delegates.

March said she left the Capitol on Jan. 6 before protesters entered it.

Natalie Jangula, who won the non-partisan election to the Nampa City Council in Idaho, attended the January protest and photographed herself in front of the Capitol.

She called the protest “the most patriotic experience” and said protesters need to share “the other side of the story” to counter the corporate media’s insurrection narrative.

“My intentions were 100% not insurrection by all means,” Jangula said.

Christine Ead won election to the Watchung Borough Council in New Jersey.

She said that she was at the “99 percent” peaceful protest when “anarchists” started entering the Capitol. Ead said that she did not enter the building.

“ANTIFA and other anarchists groups were there at the rally,” she said, adding that there is “boat-loads of evidence” of fraud in the 2020 election.

Susan Soloway was reelected to the Hunterdon County Board of Directors in New Jersey. She said “thugs” used the peaceful protest “as a pretense to attack the U.S. Capitol.”

Matthew Lynch, who Headline USA reported on shortly after the election, won a seat on the Braintree School Board shortly after Braintree High School forced him to resign for attending the protest.
