In the weeks leading up to the November election, there were numerous reports swirling around related to Hunter Biden’s alleged sketchy dealings – that also happened to be widely ignored by a majority of the mainstream media.
In response, Rasmussen conducted a polling of likely voters to see if they believed that said ignoring by many mainstay media outlets was intentional.
The media DID. Big tech DID. And they should be ashamed.
Most Think Media Hid Hunter Biden Story Before Election Day https://t.co/s2NVAinW1F
— Trish Regan (@trish_regan) December 16, 2020
The verdict shows that a majority of people believed just that.
There were merely three questions present within the survey, but the most prominent one was asking whether respondents considered the Hunter Biden story was ignored to help Joe Biden or whether news outlets simply thought they were “partisan” attacks against the Bidens:
“Now that Hunter Biden has acknowledged he is under investigation for tax evasion, many news organizations are starting to take a first look at his overseas business dealings which were first reported several weeks prior to Election Day.”
“Which is closer to your thinking – that many news organizations ignored the Hunter Biden story to help Joe Biden’s presidential campaign or that many ignored the story because they felt it was a partisan hit job?”
In response, over half of those polled agreed that news outlets were turning a blind eye to the Hunter Biden story to help Joe’s White House aspirations:
“The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 52% of Likely U.S. Voters think many news organizations ignored the Hunter Biden story to help his father’s presidential campaign.”
“Thirty-two percent (32%) disagree and say they ignored it because they felt it was a partisan hit job. Seventeen percent (17%) are not sure.”
Another interesting question asked from those who were polled inquired on whether they believed that Joe Biden managed to be involved and profit from Hunter’s endeavors abroad:
“How likely is it that Joe Biden was consulted about and perhaps profited from his son Hunter’s overseas business deals including at least one involving a company in mainland China – very likely, somewhat likely, not very likely or not at all likely?”
56% believe #JoeBiden was consulted about, profited from Hunter’s overseas business deals, but 38% still consider this connection unlikely… https://t.co/3tqOLWgE9d pic.twitter.com/io0gWNye3U
— Rasmussen Reports (@Rasmussen_Poll) December 15, 2020
Turns out that even a higher percentage of people polled believe that Joe Biden pocketed some coin due to Hunter’s business dealings:
“Fifty-six percent (56%) believe it is likely Joe Biden was consulted about and perhaps profited from his son’s overseas business deals including at least one involving a company in mainland China. This includes 43% who say it’s Very Likely.”
“Thirty-eight percent (38%) still consider this connection unlikely, with 22% who say it’s Not At All Likely.”
Apparently, with regard to perception on whether Joe and Hunter Biden were both getting enriched from Hunter’s dealings overseas, this overwhelming sentiment that Joe was pocketing some profits hasn’t changed much since October.
When it came to breaking results down from a party affiliation aspect, it wasn’t much of a surprise to see that Republicans were more likely than Democrats or those not claiming a party affiliation believed that Joe and Hunter Biden were in cahoots business-wise.
Still hiding it. But i suspect they’ll use this to control Biden if he assumes office.

According to the report on that breakdown:
“GOP voters (73%) are far more likely than Democrats (21%) and unaffiliateds (36%) to consider it Very Likely that Joe Biden was consulted about and perhaps profited from his son’s overseas business deals.”
As for the third question that was featured in the survey, respondents were asked how closely they’ve been following the Hunter Biden story. The results from that inquiry showed:
“Seventy percent (70%) of voters say they have been closely following news reports about Hunter Biden’s business dealings, with 38% who have been following Very Closely.”
The survey in question was conducted between December 13th and 14th, which polled 1,000 likely voters. The margin of sampling error is said to be between +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence, according to Rasmussen.
Speaking of the Hunter Biden story and investigation, Senator Ron Johnson believes it’s a matter that many should’ve known about months ago.
Here’s that recent report.
_
WASHINGTON, DC — The chair of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee said Congress was left in the dark about a federal investigation into Hunter Biden, which began in 2018, and should have been informed about it months ago.
Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI), who chairs the committee, said federal authorities had possession of Hunter’s laptop and its contents prior to the impeachment hearings on President Donald Trump earlier this year.
Let’s face it. @JoeBiden has not been honest with the American public. He had to know about Hunter Biden’s financial entanglements. pic.twitter.com/OScViVSpC6
— Senator Ron Johnson (@SenRonJohnson) December 14, 2020
The laptop contains photos and emails related to Hunter’s business dealings with foreign nations, such as Ukraine and China, and Johnson suggested this information should have been revealed by the time the impeachment hearings began.
Here’s @JoeBiden straight-up lying about the Hunter Biden laptop story. @FoxNews says he’s not a target of the investigation. But he lied to the American people repeatedly about his son’s business and accused anyone raising questions of being Russian plants. He has to come clean. https://t.co/8uAo8lcuIE

On Dec. 13, Johnson spoke on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures and said:
“I’m sympathetic for keeping investigations confidential unless there’s an indictment, and I understand the process behind that, but when you’re talking about investigations within the political realm, particularly one that would have affected the impeachment trial of the sitting U.S. president in the U.S. Senate, that should have been relevant information.
“The fact that they had Hunter Biden’s computer that had all these emails back in December 2019.
“That was before the trial, that was part of that impeachment, we should have known that.”
Since before spring? Investigation was open in 2018 and Barr learned in 2019? They kept it secret from 2018. And no they didn’t kept it secret because of elections. Joe Biden become a candidate half a year AFTER FBI opened investigationhttps://t.co/eiAsBgPxAU

In September, the Senate Finance and Homeland Security Committees released an 87-page report, “Hunter Biden, Burisma, and Corruption: The Impact on U.S. Government Policy and Related Concerns,” which listed numerous instances of Hunter’s business dealings appearing to overlap with his father’s political influence.

Johnson claimed on Dec. 12 that Hunter’s attorneys “have refused to cooperate with the committees,” according to Breitbart.

The two-year investigation into Hunter, however, was only just confirmed last week. Hunter, a private citizen, oddly released the following brief statement on Dec. 9 through the official Biden-Harris transition team:
“I learned yesterday for the first time that the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Delaware advised my legal counsel, also yesterday, that they are investigating my tax affairs.
“I take this matter very seriously but I am confident that a professional and objective review of these matters will demonstrate that I handled my affairs legally and appropriately, including with the benefit of professional tax advisors.”
So? He’s a private citizen and does not work in the administration.
— 🧑🏻🎄Georgia Blue🎄🇺🇸🌊 (@TGalore2) December 9, 2020
The statement also included one from the Biden-Harris transition team:
“President-elect Biden is deeply proud of his son, who has fought through difficult challenges, including the vicious personal attacks of recent months, only to emerge stronger.”

The statements also do not reflect that the federal investigation into Hunter is more extensive than just his “tax affairs.”
The federal investigation Hunter Biden has been more extensive than his statement indicates. Federal prosecutors also have investigated foreign ties, possible money laundering.https://t.co/gD4uZzC6W9

Politico reported that a person with direct knowledge of the investigation said that in addition to taxes, investigators in Delaware and Washington were also probing potential money laundering and Hunter’s foreign connections.

The person spoke on the condition of anonymity and was not authorized to discuss the matter publicly.
In addition to the probe into Hunter, federal authorities in the Western District of Pennsylvania are conducting a criminal investigation of a hospital business in which Joe Biden’s brother, James, was involved.

According to Politico, federal officials have asked questions about James Biden’s role in the business, according to a second person with direct knowledge of that investigation, who said it remains ongoing.
“It was even revealed through leaked recordings from @Project_Veritas that @CNN president Jeff Zucker & CNN political director David Chalian urged staff to avoid the scandal, which involved a laptop allegedly belonging to the son of the president-elect…” https://t.co/lgfjXNhZl9

Also, the investigation of Hunter has focused primarily on his financial ties to foreign figures and businesses, according to Politico’s anonymous source.
In a standard practice for tax investigations, the Tax Division at Main Justice in Washington would be involved in the probe, the source said.

In July, the District of Columbia levied a $453,890 lien against Hunter for unpaid state taxes, and it was paid off in full within six days.
The Washington Free Beacon was the first to report about the lien and noted that Hunter had no discernible income. The news organization also said a spokesperson for D.C.’s Office of the Chief Financial Officer confirmed that the “tax issue was resolved” on July 15, but declined to say whether Hunter was the person who had paid off the debt.
The Biden campaign did not respond to questions about how Hunter settled the debt in less than a week and whether he has found gainful employment, according to Washington Free Beacon.

Issues with liens seem to have run in the Biden family for at least a couple of decades. According to Washington Free Beacon:
“James Biden has had at least five tax liens filed against him between 1995 and 2015, including one for $589,095 filed in 2015 and released one year later.
“Frank Biden, another brother of the presidential candidate, has had at least three liens for unpaid income taxes. He said in 2011 that a $32,500 lien in Kentucky stemmed from his struggle with alcohol addiction and was being paid off through a monthly plan, according to the Broward Palm Beach New Times.
Now you know why we weren’t allowed to talk #HunterBiden’s laptop and why Big Tech suppressed this story because they were implicated in it.

“Joe Biden’s sister Valerie and her husband John Owens have faced at least five tax liens, including one for $229,749 in 1990.
“This is also not the first time Hunter Biden has been accused of owing back taxes. In 2018, the federal government filed a $112,805 tax lien against him. He resolved that matter in March, according to records.”
ONLY NOW will the media cover Hunter Biden. During the election…

Earlier this month, Biden pledged during a CNN interview that his relatives would not be involved in any business, foreign or domestic, that might create the appearance of a conflict of interest:
“My son, my family will not be involved in any business, any enterprise that is in conflict with or appears to be in conflict, with inappropriate distance from the presidency and government.”
Let’s be clear about what happened:
Big Tech censored the Biden corruption story.
The media called it Russian disinformation.
All to protect Joe Biden in the election.
Now the truth is out. Hunter Biden is under federal investigation.
The NY Post and Bobulinski were right.
— Steve Scalise (@SteveScalise) December 10, 2020
However, the existence of probes involving Joe’s son and a business with ties to his brother could prove to be an awkward challenge for the former vice president to overcome in the near future.
